HOW IT WORKS

This treatment is a 60 minute treatment, performed by one of our Cosmetic Nurses. During the V2 Hydration Filler & Beauty Booster Treatment, 3ml of non-cross linked Hyaluronic Acid is pushed into the skin. This Hydration Dermal Filler includes a unique patented formula of effective natural components (Amino Acids, Antioxidants, Minerals and Vitamins).

For best results, we recommend a minimum of 3 treatments. Throughout these treatments, fibroblasts within the papillary dermis (inner layer of skin) are activated to lay down new collagen and elastin within the skin, resulting in a thicker, more plump skin. Results can last up to 12 months post treatment with best results seen at 3-6 months.

Pre-Treatment Instructions
- Advise your therapist of recent antibiotic use.
- Advise your therapist of any acne medication use within the last 12 months.
- Advise your therapist if you have an active cold sore or are prone to cold sores.
- If you have an upcoming event, do not schedule your treatment within 2 weeks of your event.
- Avoid cosmetic injectable treatments or dental work for 2 weeks prior to your treatment.
- Avoid prescription retinoids/Vitamin A for 2 weeks prior to your treatment.
- Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications, for a week prior to your treatment, please consult with your doctor if you take these on a regular basis.
- Avoid invasive laser treatments, laser hair removal, chemical peels or skin needling 1 week prior to treatment.
- Avoid temperature extremes for 72 hours prior (e.g. spas, sauna, hot showers, cold rooms, sunbathing, etc).
- Do not consume alcohol 24 hours prior to treatment.
- Shave the treatment area 24 hours prior to treatment if required.
What to expect post-treatment
- Redness or pin-point markings immediately after treatment for up to 12 hours.
- Slight swelling immediately after treatment including puffiness in the eye area, this can last a few hours.
- Do not rub or massage the treated area, and sleep elevated or on your back.
- Take paracetamol as needed for pain management.
- Skin may experience flaking or shedding for up to a week post treatment, do not pick or scratch.
- Breakouts may occur if you have underlying congestion within the skin.
Post-Treatment Instructions
- Avoid touching the treated area for 6 hours post treatment.
- Please do not apply make-up for the day and night of your treatment, if you need coverage we can apply medical grade makeup to your skin post treatment.
- Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications immediately after treatment.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours.
- Avoid temperature extremes and any activities where treated areas may be at risk of contamination (e.g. sauna, gardening, cleaning).
- Avoid strenuous exercise for 48 hours.
- Continue use of active ingredients 5-7 days post treatment.
- Avoid facial waxing or hair removal treatments for 1 week post treatment.
- SPF 30+ must be applied and direct sunlight avoided for 1 week post treatment.

Can I have this treatment if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

Your safety is our main concern and for this reason, we advise against cosmetic injectable and medical grade treatments whilst pregnant, simply out of precaution and due to the lack of information available on effects on the fetus. However, there are no conclusive studies on these treatments being safe or unsafe for pregnant or breastfeeding women. If you have any concerns about a treatment, please consult your doctor before proceeding.
How long does this treatment take?

You can expect this treatment to go for approximately 60 minutes.
What is the recovery time for this treatment?

Generally this is a minimal downtime treatment, some patients may experience bruising, redness or pin point markings post treatment commonly subsiding after 4 days.
How long before I see results?

Results can be seen from 7 days post treatment, where results are visibly brighter, smoother and softer complexion. For optimal results we recommend a minimum of three treatments, this treatment can be used in combination with other services including Skin Treatments, Dermal Filler and Anti Wrinkle Treatments.
