Treatment Preparation Guide

OVERVIEW

Many of our treatments require pre- and post-treatment care. To achieve best treatment outcomes and prevent complications, the below instructions must be followed.

1.0. ALL TREATMENT BOOKINGS

1.1. A thorough skin consultation must be completed by one of our Dermal Therapists or Cosmetic Injectors to ensure suitability for treatments.
1.2. Advise your therapist of recent antibiotic use.
1.3. Advise your therapist of any Acne Medication use within the last 12 months.
1.4. Advise your therapist if you have an active cold sore or are prone to cold sores.
1.5. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours prior to treatment, this can increase the risk of bruising.

2.0. MICRODERMABRASION, HYDRAFACIAL, AND LED HEALITE THERAPY

2.1. Avoid prescription retinoids/Vitamin A for 14 days prior to your treatment.

2.2. Avoid invasive laser treatments or laser hair removal for 7 days prior to treatment.

2.3. Avoid Cosmetic Injectable treatments for 14 days prior to your treatment.

2.4. Do not wax or use depilatory cream over the treatment area. Avoid sun exposure.

3.0. SKIN NEEDLING + MESOTHERAPY

3.1. We can tailor this treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

3.2. Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications, for 7 days prior to your treatment, please consult with your doctor if you take these on a regular basis.

3.3. Avoid prescription retinoids/Vitamin A for 14 days prior to your treatment.

3.4. Avoid invasive laser treatments or laser hair removal for 7 days prior to treatment.

3.5. Avoid Cosmetic Injectable treatments for 14 days prior to your treatment.

3.6. If you have an upcoming event, do not schedule your treatment within 14 days of your event.

4.0. CLINICAL SKIN PEELS

4.1. Preparation products must be used for 2 weeks prior to treatment to ensure safe treatment

4.2. Smart Peels Treatments are a prerequisite to this treatment, this will be discussed with your dermal therapist

4.3. Avoid prescription retinoids/Vitamin A for 14 days prior to your treatment.

4.4. Avoid invasive laser treatments or laser hair removal for 7 days prior to treatment.

4.5. Avoid Cosmetic Injectable treatments for 14 days prior to your treatment.

5.0. LASER GENESIS AND LASER CAPILLARY REDUCTION

5.1. Avoid prescription retinoids/Vitamin A for 14 days prior to your treatment.

5.2. Avoid invasive laser treatments or laser hair removal for 7 days prior to treatment.

5.3. Avoid Cosmetic Injectable treatments for 14 days prior to your treatment.

5.4. Avoid sun exposure.

6.0. LASER REDNESS REDUCTION AND LASER PIGMENT REDUCTION

6.1. Avoid sun exposure.

6.2. We ask that you have had a skin check completed by your GP within the last 12 months.

7.0. NANO INFUSION

7.1. We can tailor this treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

7.2. Avoid prescription retinoids/Vitamin A for 14 days prior to your treatment.

7.3. Avoid invasive laser treatments or laser hair removal for 7 days prior to treatment.

7.4. Avoid Cosmetic Injectable treatments for 14 days prior to your treatment.

7.5. Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications for 7 days prior to your treatment, please consult with your doctor if you take these on a regular basis.

8.0. V2 GLOW TREATMENT

8.1. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, this treatment cannot be performed

8.2. Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications, for 7 days prior to your treatment, please consult with your doctor if you take these on regular basis

8.3. Avoid prescription retinoids/Vitamin A for 14 days prior to your treatment.

8.4. Avoid invasive laser treatments or laser hair removal for 7 days prior to treatment.

8.5. Avoid Cosmetic Injectable treatments for 14 days prior to your treatment.

8.6. If you have an upcoming event, do not schedule your treatment within 14 days of your event.

8.7. For best results, we recommend 3 treatments.

9.0. SKIN GYMS

9.1. Preparation products must be used for 2 weeks prior to treatment to ensure safe treatment

9.2. Avoid prescription retinoids/Vitamin A for 14 days prior to your treatment.

9.3. Avoid invasive laser treatments or laser hair removal for 7 days prior to treatment.

9.4. Avoid Cosmetic Injectable treatments for 14 days prior to your treatment.

10.0. LASER HAIR REMOVAL ( ALL TYPES AND BUNDLES )

10.1. Avoid prescription retinoids/Vitamin A for 14 days prior to your treatment.

10.2. Avoid invasive laser treatments or laser hair removal for 7 days prior to treatment.

10.3. Avoid Cosmetic Injectable treatments for 14 days prior to your treatment.

10.4. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you may be able to have treatment from your second trimester, we ask that you consult with your doctor and provide us with a medical certificate with approval for treatment

10.5. No sun exposure, no fake tan, no gradual tan in the treatment area within 2 weeks of treatment

10.6. Do not wax, pluck/tween the hair or use depilatory cream in the area within 2 weeks of the treatment

10.7. Shave the treatment area within 12-24 hours of your appointment. 

10.8. Avoid the use of topical skin solutions including moisturiser and perfume on the areas being treated on the day of your appointment

11.0. INJECTABLES

12.0. V2 HYDRATION FILLER

12.1. Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications, for 7 days prior to your treatment, please consult with your doctor if you take these on a regular basis.

12.2. Avoid prescription retinoids/Vitamin A for 14 days prior to your treatment.

12.3. Avoid invasive laser treatments or laser hair removal for 7 days prior to treatment.

12.4. Avoid Cosmetic Injectable treatments for 14 days prior to your treatment.

12.5. For best results, we recommend 3 treatments.

13.0. FACTOR 4

13.1. Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications, for 7 days prior to your treatment, please consult with your doctor if you take these on a regular basis.

13.2. You will need to harvest the blood prior to your needling booking, this will be booked by your therapist or nurse after consultation.

13.3. Avoid prescription retinoids/Vitamin A for 14 days prior to your treatment.

13.4. Avoid invasive laser treatments or laser hair removal for 7 days prior to treatment.

13.5. Avoid Cosmetic Injectable treatments for 14 days prior to your treatment.

14.0. BOOSTER SHOTS AND IV FUSIONS

14.1. A full medical history must be taken prior to administration. This will be completed in-clinic with our medical professions prior to treatment.

15.0. DERMAL FILLERS

15.1. Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications, for 7 days prior to your treatment, please consult with your doctor if you take these on a regular basis.

15.2. You must have no active herpes simplex. 

15.3. Advise staff if you have any difficulty with swallowing. 

15.4. Avoid chemical peels and skin needling for 7 days prior.

15.5. Shave the treatment area if required 24 hours prior

16.0. PDO THREADS, LIPO DISSOLVE, AND ANTI WRINKLE TREATMENTS

16.1. Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications, for 7 days prior to your treatment, please consult with your doctor if you take these on a regular basis.

16.2. You must have no active herpes simplex. Prepare 72 hours prior to the treatment with  antiviral medication if needed. 

16.3. Avoid chemical peels and skin needling 7 days prior. 

16.4. Avoid temperature extremes for 72 hours prior (e.g. spas, sauna, hot showers, cold rooms, sunbathing, etc). 

16.5. Shave the treatment area if required 24 hours prior to treatment.

17.0. FAT FREEZING

17.1. Advise our nurses if you are on anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications. You may not be a candidate if you have an auto-immune disease, blood clotting conditions, diabetes presenting with loss of sensitivity, or cancer.

17.2. Follow the Fat Freezing diet and exercise guidelines; It is important to note that these treatments will not yield optimal results if the effects of treatment are counteracted by a sedentary lifestyle or an excessive diet. Be physically active and choose a nutritious diet that meets your energy needs.

17.3. You must stay in position for one hour once the treatment cycle begins, so it is advised to go to the toilet before treatment starts
